Law in Contemporary Society
Hi all, I'm here with another topic (in part because I want to make sure this all posted correctly). I'm thinking about the burden of having a human mind. I'm curious as to what folks think about this idea. Maybe we can talk about how we feel about the mind, and how law school has made us feel about it, or the increased burden of having a mind that now involves law school. Are other animals fortunate not to have this burden? How much smarter are we for having this mind that we can never shut off? Does anyone else feel like law school has significantly changed this burden? -- OliviaMartinez - 01 Feb 2021

I think about this all the time, Olivia. What would it be like not to feel pressure from your family, your community, your racial group, YOURSELF. Sometimes my life feels like one accomplishment to the next, never stopping long enough to truly appreciate. I think in the future too much and obsess over the next step, only to be underwhelmed when I actually get there.
