Law in Contemporary Society

Personal Introduction

-- By EliKeene - 29 Jan 2015

I came to law school to learn to solve complex problems. During my time working in international policy, I met two groups of people who were remotely competent at this task: engineers and lawyers. My engineering ship sailed back in college, so here I am today.

What is it specifically I’m after? The lawyers that impressed me could deconstruct a complex issue to its roots, understand the interactions of its component parts, and foresee the weaknesses of a proposed solution. If law school can make me better at that, I will leave happy.
