Law in Contemporary Society

Personal Introduction

-- By AimeePacheco - 18 Jan 2022

Pronouns: she/her. Born and raised in Georgia, I'm the proud daughter of immigrants from Mexico and Guatemala and am also Maya K'iche'. As a first-generation student, I graduated from Dartmouth College in 2020 with a B.A. in Geography and Spanish modified with Latinx, Latin American, and Caribbean Studies. After graduating, I became a community organizer for the Immigrant Alliance for Justice and Equity of Mississippi and then Founding Advocacy and Communications Fellow for Sur Legal Collaborative. At Sur, I oversaw the organization's communications while supporting their legal work. At CLS I am involved in LaLSA? and the CLS Softball Club. I hope to specialize in immigration, criminal, and labor law to represent immigrants and workers in the rural South.
