Law in Contemporary Society

Personal Introduction

-- By LaurenPackard - 28 Jan 2015

I came to law school in search of a more meaningful life. I want an intellectually rigorous and challenging training. I know that, for me, intellectual engagement is indispensable to happiness.

I want to be involved in the praxis of everyday life. I do not want to be a bystander—I want to have a say in what happens. I want law school to give me a toolkit whereby I can effect real, systemic change. And I feel compelled to use my tremendous privilege to make things better than they are.
