Law in Contemporary Society
Hello my name is Shirley Boutin. When I was younger, I thought I wanted to be a Criminal Defense Attorney. To me, something was wrong with the disproportionate number of blacks in the criminal justice system. I wanted to fix this problem. Overtime, I’ve become less certain about becoming a criminal defense attorney. Although, I’m not sure what I want to do with my JD, I believe that its versatility will provide me with options. Through law school, I want to acquire the skills that will enable me to be a successful attorney, or whatever legal related profession I choose.
