My interest in studying law is directly related to my interest in economic development. I’m concerned with the ethical and philosophical implications of living in a world where living standards vary so greatly. I’m also curious about the intersection of law, finance, trade, social policy, and governance in the context of the developing world. I chose law school (rather than graduate school for economics or international affairs, for instance) because I sensed that lawyers make things happen, rather than only think about how things could or should happen.
