Personal Introduction

My life is the byproduct of a combination of influences –family, community, experiences, historical and cultural context – but the identity I have forged along the way is mine alone, and I gladly claim responsibility for it. I believe this capacity to self-actualize is a gift many have not received, and I want for little else bar the opportunity to create such possibility for others. My desire to study law reflects my beliefs that law is the language of social power, and that fluency in this language is crucial if one wishes to become a participant not a slave of society.
