My name is Marcus Strong and I consider myself as a simple person. I love reading good books, listening to good music, eating good food, and knowing honest, authentic people. But I also don't think those things (knowledge, culture, exposure) should be restricted to a certain person by virtue of their birth or of political circumstances. While money can affect opportunity, in a world with or without currency, opportunity will always be defined by access. If I'm fortunate to have all those things I love in life, then access for others will be the only thing I wish to change.

My name is Marcus Strong and I often find myself disconcerted with the life I lead at law school. While often introspective, I relish discussion with others and the finer art of debating so much that all conflicting and converging views are left on the table. That type of discussion happens at law school, but does not always seem to be the point. Or rather, maybe that is the point, and just doesn't happen often. While I am in law school for the rigorous and complex thought it demands and that I respect, I think of myself as a simple person.
