I'm Marvin Bell. I'm was born in Harlem but raised outside of Kingston, Jamaica. I emigrated to the United States in 2005. I decided to apply to law school about two years ago after exhausting many of immediate post college interests: HIV/AIDS activism; living abroad; mastering another language. Now a few months into law school and I desire nothing more than the opportunity to immerse myself back into the communities that I left in order to attend law school. In the coming months -- and certainly by the conclusion of my second year -- I hope I will find ways to apply the skills I am learning at CLS to the realities that exists outside of the school's walls.
