My main reason for coming to law school is practical: I came to law school because I thought that a legal education would be the best way to overcome any disadvantages that I may have as a first generation immigrant. I also believed that a JD degree from an American university would allow me to work both inside and outside the US with greater flexibility.

Academically, I am interested in public international law due to my brief exposure to it in college. However I am not sure whether I want to pursue a career in that field.
