CORRECTION:

It has been brought to my attention that I incorrectly described the 
Albertson's check out system as involving "radio transmitters." In fact, as 
the footnoted article states, the check out process is done by scanning a 
final bar code that includes the tally of all of your selected items. I 
apologize for the confusion.
