Buying cable channels "a la carte"
Here's an interesting article on an FCC report concerning "a la
carte" cable programming: allowing consumers to buy only certain
channels. The article describes the concept as a "populist cause"
yet it seems that the plan would ensure the domination of cable by
larger, wealthier channels and result in the effective exclusion of
small, lesser-known channels.
