Macys.com to Sell Broderbund Product

By REUTERS

NOVATO, Calif. -- The software developer Broderbund, a unit of the Learning Company division of Mattel Inc., said Thursday that it would sell its new Cosmopolitan Fashion Makeover software exclusively through macys.com.

With the Cosmopolitan software, developed jointly with Cosmopolitan magazine and Public Technologies Multimedia Inc. of Canada, women can create their own three-dimensional model based on their own body measurements and digitally "try on" brand name clothing.

Designers included in the program are Esprit, Liz Claiborne and Jones New York, among others. The software sells for $49.95.

Users can also link via the makeover software directly to the macys.com online shopping site (http://www.macys.com) where they can buy the clothing online.

Macys.com is the online arm of Macy's department stores, a unit of Federated Department Stores Inc.
